The vapor recovery unit at the gas station consists of two adsorbers filled with activated carbon, and one of them of large size adsorbs vapors when draining the tanker, and the second at this time works for small respiration. After the tanker is drained, the larger adsorber is evacuated using a vacuum pump and concentrated 100% hydrocarbons are fed into the gas station tanks, which are used as absorbers. Hydrocarbons pass through the product layer and are absorbed, and the most volatile ones that have not been absorbed enter the small adsorber, where they are deposited on activated carbon during desorption of the large adsorber. After desorbing the large adsorber, the small adsorber is desorbed and the light hydrocarbons leaving the gas station (absorber) tank enter the large adsorber, where they are deposited on activated carbon.
